The Air Gap Bonding (or Standard Bonding) is the technique used to bond a Touch Screen or a Cover Glass on a display, by using a specific double face adhesive on the perimeter (typically applied on the display metal bezel).
This is the most cost effective practice and the one giving the highest process yield.
We at DisplayHub can bond with the Air Gap process by using the very common 3M VH tapes, but also by using an automated system capable of dispending high resistance glue, as alternative to the double face tape.
With this process we can cover sizes from the small 3,5 inches to the “giant” 110 inches displays.
